Anonymous asked: I think things like that are spec for people who dont want to rely entirely on cvoming up with their own unique style? which as im sure you know is a tiring process, esp when said style keeps changing and youre not sure where to go. its like a "heres a fun style try it" kind of thing, less of a "here is how you do art" kind of thing.
hm yeah this is also true. i know ive used a lot of JNTHEDS drawlogs to experiment with stuff closely and i owe a lot of technical knowledge to him and emulating things is a good way to learn stuff like coloring/techniques/line economy etc
there are a lot of people who seem to be pretty scared of going outside their “safe zone”, as ive noticed though. and i do think the trend of using popular shows as something to base your art style off of plays a role in that. y’cant draw noodle arms and legs forever and expect to improve
Bonus points if the said eye looks like p much anything in world but the eye.

Anonymous asked: What's really the harm of it? I mean, it's not like anyone's telling you to draw that way, or it's the only good art style or something.
a lot of people nowadays rely on it because its an easy way to draw something somewhat appealing-looking without it being anime and/or time intensive. its very simple to draw and easy on the eyes, and easy to animate
problem with this is that either people use it as a crutch and/or it doesnt translate well into static art as opposed to animation. its okay to take inspo from something but trying to replicate it down to the very backbones is like a visual game of broken telephone. and plus i dont really get the point of “wow you draw just like [insert artist/show/game here]” its like being known for leeching off of someones work and nothing else
its better to just come up with your own thing or just draw from real life imo
Anonymous asked: You can also make that argument for anime styles but there will never stop being guides for how to do that.
my favorite thing to do for laughs is to search up “anime eye tutorial” on deviantart and see how many unnecessary layers and filters are used just the draw one fuckin eye
there was one i saw here that was literally “step 1: draw the eye” and then a bunch of filters and it had like 30k notesask nico Anonymous
i just saw a post about “How To Draw Adventure Time Style” and im like isnt there already enough people who draw like this. we dont really need anymore water in the sea here
i’d honestly rather have plagiarism/tracing/art theft blown out of proportion than to have it unnoticed. id honestly rather have it treated like a real issue than anything else
i sincerely hope anyone who ever thinks plagiarizing via tracing peoples artwork is “no big deal” never goes into art as a career ever jesus christ

Anonymous asked: how was the dick sucking then? i've never done it but it seems intimidating
pretty fun actually but if youre dating someone who has a really big girth (holy fuck jaramo is endowed) your jaw is probably gonna hurt a bit. also if you squeeze your left thumb you can kinda stop your gag reflex sort of
me and jar had to drown out the lewd noises we were making so we put up a retsupurae video to like the loudest setting. i sucked dick to billymc
